Here we blog again...

Well, a lot has happened since I've written last. We bought a house in Fountain, Co. It's a real fixer upper. There is so much to do, I don't really know where to start as far as the big projects go.

Davey has left for Iraq. He is doing well.

Davey - If you're reading this we miss you so much! We got the movie of you reading last night and the girls watched it first thing this morning. Serenity was yelling "it's daddy, it's daddy" and then she carried the book around and read it all morning. Aylah watched the movie with a big smile on her face.

Here are the updates:

We had a flood the day Davey left for his deployment so that has been a lot of fun to deal with.

Serenity started gymnastics again. She loves it! She is doing really well at it.

Aylah will be 1 in about a month! crazy! I changed her into the forward facing "big girl" car seat and I think she likes it. I wanted her to get used to it before our next road trip home in about 3 weeks.

The girls and I will be coming to San Diego from Halloween until right after the New Year. It will be a fun trip full of lots of stuff to celebrate and hopefully it will make the time go by fast. While in California we will be celebrating Halloween, Aylah's birthday, Thanksgiving, my friend's Jillian and Rollin are getting Married, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years, Another friend, Maritza's wedding....I think that's it.

Me...well, I'm pregnant!!!! We're expecting our third baby in May! We are really excited!

time...

Well, time flies by when you're always busy. Since Davey got home almost 2 weeks ago we have been non stop. The girls are getting into their routines again. We've seriously started shopping around for houses (we'll let you know how it goes). Aylah has 3 teeth now and I'm pretty sure she's working on her 4th. Serenity is getting really good at playing by herself in her room which is helping my sanity a little bit and keeping the house a little more straightened up.
Here are a few photos for ya'll to enjoy!!!

California trip update!!!

We had a little delay...Aylah got pink eye and had an allergic reaction to the first two medicines. Third one's a charm though! It all worked out though because we ended up leaving town the same day as Davey and he wanted us to stay with him as long as we could. He is currently at Ft. Irwin at NTC (national training center) doing his pre-deployment training. His plane ride over made a stop in Vegas and he could see the MGM Grand from the plane..was he disappointed he couldn't get off the plane. He then flew to Victorville and took a long bus ride to Ft. Irwin with about "80 people and a police dog" his words! Us girls had a little mishap on our road trip. We ran out of gas!!! We hit a 100 mile span of "no services" and I had 102 miles in my car, but apparently my car doesn't count gas correctly because we still had 35 miles to go to the next gas station when we ran out. We pulled into a rest stop and waited 2 hours from someone to bring us gas. We were supposed to make it to Vegas, but we stopped an hour and a half before to sleep..we got tired. We are now in Vegas spending the day with my brother, Clinton and tomorrow with my Grandma (the girl's GG) Shirley. We will be in Ca on Sat.... Hope everyone is having better luck than us!

California here we come!!!

Okay!!! I know it has been a long time since I have posted and I apologize for that. I just wanted to let everyone know that the Miller girls (Mylie included) are leaving for Ca on Monday. We should be home by Wednesday. My mom is flying out this Saturday to drive with us...and Velvet too! Wish us a safe journey and for those of you in CA.... We can't wait to see you!!!!

It has been a while since my last post. We made a short trip to San Diego for Davey's grandma Pearl's memorial. I am posting a few pictures of our little visit. I got sick again the night we got back to Colorado. I am so sick of being sick!!! Here is my little tid-bit of news: Aylah has 2 teeth now, Serenity enjoys climbing up onto the bathroom counters and playing with the water (Thank goodness she favors cold water), and Davey has received "warning orders" (those come before real orders) that he is set to deploy August 1st...however there is still a rumor that they are deploying to arrive in Iraq by August 1st. I'll keep everyone updated, but for now enjoy these photos:

Serenity playing with her cousins, Kaloah and Luke
Papa Phil and his granddaughters
Grandpa Mer and Aylah
Davey spending quality time with Aylah...too bad they're both unaware

HUGE NEWS!!!

Aylah's first tooth popped through yesterday! It's her bottom middle right tooth. I think the one next to it will be through very soon too! I can't believe it came so early! She is only 4 months and 6 days today. Serenity didn't get her first tooth until right after she turned 6 months. I've been trying to get a picture of Aylah's tooth, but it's still pretty little and she likes to stick her tongue out when I try to look at it. I'll get a picture for all of you when it grows a little bit.

This is me venting...

Davey went to the field on Sunday. It is a part of his job. However...could someone please explain to me why so many things have to go wrong while he's gone. You know, when I could use a little help. When he left I was pretty sick and now my downstairs that I spent a whole day cleaning is all messy again! Yesterday Serenity woke up with pink eye and Aylah has been feverish so I took the girls to the dr. I thought Aylah was cutting her first tooth, but feared that she was getting what Davey had or what I had. This morning I can finally see the tooth under her gums!!! Hopefully it doesn't take long to pop through. Serenity and I are going to have a day of fun....gotta run!

Aylah's first feeding!!!

Well, first of all I am horribly sick at the moment (Nicole, good thing we didn't come up last week). They're telling me it's the flu, but I am more in pain with a sore throat and I keep sneezing which is hurting my throat even more. Enough about me though...

Aylah had her first real food today. She ate about 5 baby bites of rice cereal mixed with formula. I am pretty sure she liked it. She sat in Serenity's old eating chair and Serenity buckled her in. Each bite I gave her Serenity wiped her mouth clean with a wipe. She was very helpful! Here are a few photos of the event and a few other cute pics of the girls:

I did clean...

So, I cleaned...downstairs anyways. Maybe I'll get around to upstairs next week...

Here is a taggy I made for Aylah. Serenity can't live without hers. Serenity's first daycare, Patty gave her a taggy and she loved it so much we bought another one and she won't go to bed without one. Of course we call it a "Ba"..makes sense right? So anyway...here it is:

Clean like the wind...

I am devoting my day to cleaning today. My thought is that if I voice my intentions on my blog then I have to do it...right? I mean what would you all think if I said I was going to do something and didn't do it? I'll try to post some pictures of my clean house later today...

wish me luck...I'm going to need it!

Sunday morning...

Well, It's Sunday morning...I am at the computer, Serenity is watching "Go, Diego, Go!", Davey is still sleeping because he got called into work last night at 11pm and got home at 3am, and Aylah is taking her morning nap. That's right! She has a schedule now...too bad I've only figured out the morning nap time is 8:50. Hopefully I'll figure out the rest soon...

Last weekend we went up to Denver to have dinner at my childhood friend, Nicole's house. Her husband, David and their daughter, Gigi was there too :) The girls had a lot of fun playing and dinner was yummy! Here are a few pictures of us at their house: (I took one of David feeding Gigi, but it was blurry)

Our trip to California...

Us girls went on a trip to California for 4 weeks! My brother, Josh and Sarah got married! Serenity was a flower girl. We love Sarah! Davey was able to fly out for the wedding. While staying at the Millier's house the girls got to go swimming in the warmed up jacuzzi, it was Aylah's first swim and the swimmer went up to her chest! We had a great trip, here are a few pictures:

The beginning...

Well, I've decided to start a blog. I thought it would be a great way to document the achievements of our girls and keep our family & friends updated with family events and going ons. Also, thought it would be a great way to keep everyone informed when Davey deploys and to keep Davey up to date while he is deployed... I'm hoping I can keep up with this blog on a daily or weekly basis....so, keep checking it out!

We are currently living in Colorado Springs, Co on Fort Carson (Army post). Serenity is 2 1/2 and her newest "thing" is that she gives us choices. Today she asked me "Mommy, are you happy or are you sad?" She is getting smarter everyday. We are working on recognizing the letters in the alphabet. Aylah is 3 1/2 months. She is amazing! She smiles and it brightens your day. Her new tricks are a little giggle here and there and today she rolled over from her tummy to her back. She is also a thumb-sucker like her big sister. Mylie (our doggy) is doing great as well...she is enjoying being allowed on our bed again (I was a little moody and a bed hog during pregnancy, but I've lightened up a little). Davey is working a lot. The unit is still telling us the deployment will be for 15 months leaving in December 2008, but there is a rumor that they are leaving this summer. I am hoping Davey will be here for Aylah's first birthday. And as for me...I am enjoying being a mother of two girls. I am starting to get into quilting and I think I'm really going to enjoy it.
